WBCA announces Division 1 Girls Basketball All-State Team

The 2021 WBCA All-State team is highlighted by KK Arnold of Germantown. 

Arnold, an honorable mention pick last season, led Germantown (29-1) to the program's first-ever state title, defeating previously unbeaten Hudson, 63-48, in the Division 1 state championship game. Arnold, a 5-foot-9 point guard, is one of the top sophomores in that nation. She finished the year averaging 22.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 3.7 steals per game for coach Matt Stuve and the Warhawks. 

Jaelyn Acker helped lead Germantown to the Division 1 state title in the program's first trip to state. The 5-foot-7 sharpshooter finished the year averaging 13.6 points per game with 77 three-pointers made to go along with 3.8 steals per game. Acker is committed to NCAA Division I California Baptist University. 

Phoebe Frentzel led Arrowhead (21-6) to a sectional final appearance. The 5-foot-9 guard averaged 15.2 points per game for coach Rick Witte and the Warhawks. Frentzel is signed to play at NCAA Division I University of St. Thomas. 

Grace Grocholski, an honorable mention selection last season, led Kettle Moraine (17-7) to a sectional appearance. The 5-foot-10 sophomore averaged 20.4 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game for coach Todd Hansen and the Lasers. Grocholski also connected on 41 three-pointers. 

Emily LaChapell, an honorable mention pick last season, averaged 19.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.0 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.3 blocks per game as a junior for coach and father Joe LaChapell. Emily led the Patriots to a 19-4 record and regional final appearance. 

Jordan Meulemans of De Pere averaged 20.7 points per game with 92 three-pointers made to go along with 5.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game for coach Jeremy Boileau and the Redbirds.The 6-foot junior led De Pere to a 23-4 record and sectional appearance. Meulemans took home honorable mention all-state as a sophomore. 

Olivia Rangel led Franklin (15-6) to the program's first state tournament appearance since 2007. The 5-foot-7 guard averaged 18.6 points per game for coach Ron Hibben and the Sabers, which fell to Hudson in a state semifinal. 

CJ Romero of Brookfield Central averaged 19.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 3.5 steals per game for coach Mallory Liebl and the Lancers. The 5-foot-3 Northern Michigan signee also connected on 61 three-pointers and led Brookfield Central to a 20-4 record. 

Maddy Schreiber, an honorable mention selection last season, helped lead Kimberly (25-2) to a sectional final appearance, falling to eventual state champion Germantown. The 6-foot UW-Green Bay signee averaged 19.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.8 steals per contest for coach Troy Cullen and the Papermakers. Schreiber also shot 56-for-115 from behind the arc. 

Allie Ziebell led Neenah to a 15-7 record. The 6-foot freshman averaged 19.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.4 steals per game for coach Andy Braunel and the Rockets. Ziebell also shot 37-for-89 from behind the arc.
