Hustisford claimed the Division 5 boys basketball state title
Hustisford raced out to a 10-0 start and never looked back in a dominating and high-flying 69-35 win over McDonell Central to claim the Division 5 WIAA Boys Basketball state title.
The height of Hustisford, who featured 6'9" Alex Eggleston and 6'6" Dylan Kuehl on the front line, wreaked havoc on McDonell Central all game. The Falcons posted 11 blocked shots, setting a new Division 5 state tournament record. Eggleston had seven of those. For much of the game, Hustisford had more blocked shots than McDonell Central had made field goals.
The duo of Kuehl and Eggleston put on a show offensively as well, combining for seven dunks, including several highlight-caliber throw downs by Kuehl (see video below). The duo combined to make 18-of-23 shots in the game with 39 total points and 22 rebounds. Kuehl, a Division 2 Northern Michigan recruit, added four assists, three steals, and three blocks as well.

McDonell Central was dominant earlier in the day in a semi-final win over Green Bay NEW Lutheran, but the Macks struggled with the size of Hustisford, and it impacted all areas of the game. The team shot just 24.5% from the field overall and were outscored in the paint 44-14.
Logan Hughes led McDonell Central with 14 points, adding four steals as well. He was the lone Macks player to reach double figures.
Hustisford takes home a goal ball as champion in its first-ever WIAA Boys Basketball State Tournament appearance.
