Cam Palesse of Waukesha West has been selected as the top senior Wing as part of the WSN Senior Basketball Awards

Palesse played different positions during his prep career and often had the ball in his hands while creating for himself or his teammates. He can play both guard positions, but he might be best suited as a wing for college due to his size (6-5) and skill.

The three-time first-team all-Classic Eight Conference performer led the league in scoring (30.7 ppg) and assists (5.4 apg) while leading his team to a 14-6 record and the league title.

Palesse, who is committed to NCAA Division I Valparaiso University, earned Player of the Year laurels in the Classic Eight and shot 57 percent from the floor, 75 percent from the free throw line and 45 percent (23 of 51) from three-point range.

Palesse completed his high school career with 1,822 points and went off for a career-best 48 points in his final high school game, an 80-76 loss to Muskego in the WIAA playoffs.

Finalists for the award were Palesse, Jalen Keago of Oshkosh North, Dylan Kuehl of Hustisford, Gavin Ralph of Wauzeka-Steuben and Matt Waldera of Blair-Taylor.

Past winners of the award include Johnny Davis of La Crosse Central (2020), Marcus Domask of Waupun (2019), Tyler Herro of Whitnall (2018), Kobe King of La Crosse Central (2017), Sam Hauser of Stevens Point (2016), Henry Ellenson of Rice Lake (2015), Kevon Looney of Milwaukee Hamilton (2014), Nick Fuller of Sun Prairie (2013), and Sam Dekker of Sheboygan Lutheran (2012).

WSN Senior Basketball Awards are selected by WisSports.net staff.
