Spring Season Rushing Leaders

Fond du Lac capped off a dominating spring season with an eye-popping 71-47 win over Kimberly, and not surprisingly, it was the running game that did the bulk of the damage. Quarterback Kyle Walljasper went for 325 yards and five scores in that game, and it helped him secure the top spot on the spring season leaderboard as well. The 6'1", 200-pound senior finished with 1,467 yards and 21 touchdowns on just 77 carries, as he averaged 19.1 yards per attempt and 209.6 yards per game. He finished as the spring season leader in rushing yards, touchdowns (tied), yards per game, and yards per attempt. His teammate, running back Braelon Allen, was tied for the state lead with 21 touchdowns, as he ran for 1,047 yards on 71 carries. Omro's Ben Wellhoefer finished second in the state with 1,294 rushing yards.
