The Denmark baseball team lost one game all season, a 6-4 late May contest to Seymour. Since, the Vikings ran off 18 straight wins, capping the season with a 4-1 win over Jefferson in the WIAA Division 2 State Championship.

Denmark started the scoring out in the bottom of the first inning with a sac fly by Logan Paplham that scored Hayden Konkol.

In the top of the fourth Jefferson answered with an RBI single by Tanner Pinnow.

The bottom of the fourth proved to be the deciding half-inning of the game as Denmark plated three runs. An RBI single by Kenny Satori led to his eventual scoring on a wild pitch. Konkol added the last RBI of the game on a single to left.

Brennen Miller got the win for Denmark after pitching six innings and allowing just one earned run on five hits, adding seven strikeouts. Reece Piontek came into the seventh inning for the save, striking out two of the three batters he faced.

With the win, Denmark won the first state title in program history. The Vikings had come up short in both their previous appearances in 2002 and 2005.

Jefferson was searching for its second state championship, but came up short in the sixth appearance.
