Results from the 2021 Jerry Petitgoue Girls Invite

The 2021 Jerry Petitgoue Girls Invite was held on Thursday, July 29 at JustAgame Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells. 

Below are the pool play results with the teams playing three games each. In the event of a tie, point differential was used as the tiebreaker. You can find all the results, including game scores by clicking here

Pool A

Mount Horeb 3-0
Wausau West 1-2
Wisconsin Rapids 1-2
Slinger 1-2

Mount Horeb went unbeaten in Pool A at the Jerry Petitgoue Invite. The Vikings opened the day with a 41-32 win over Wausau West. Then defeated Slinger, 31-18, and Wisconsin Rapids 37-32. 

Pool B

La Crosse Central 3-0
Jamestown, ND 2-1
St. Paul Central, MN 1-2
Stevens Point 0-3

La Crosse Central won all three of its games at the Jerry Petitgoue Invite. The RiverHawks earned a 40-29 win over Stevens Point in their first game of the day. La Crosse Central topped Jamestown, 40-33, and beat St. Paul Central, 30-21, to finish the day. 

Pool C

Edgerton 3-0
Prairie du Chien 2-1
Elkhorn 1-2
Fort Atkinson 0-3

Edgerton topped Prairie du Chien, 55-51, in a matchup of programs looking to make noise in 2021-22. The Crimson Tide defeated Fort Atkinson, 54-31, and Elkhorn, 44-24, to go undefeated in Pool C at the Jerry Petitgoue Invite. 

Pool D

Platteville 3-0
Berlin 1-2
Bloomer 1-2
Evansville 1-2

Platteville went unbeaten in Pool D at the Jerry Petitgoue Invite at JustAgame Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells. The Hillmen opened the day with a 36-16 win over Bloomer. Platteville went on to defeat Evansville, 50-25, and Berlin, 58-26. 

Pool E

Beaver Dam 3-0
Martin Luther 2-1
Barron 1-2
Richland Center 0-3

Beaver Dam won all three of its Pool E contests at the Jerry Petitgoue Invite. In their first game, the Golden Beavers topped Martin Luther, 27-22, cruised to a 41-17 win over Richland Center, and edged Barron, 25-24. 

Pool G

Mineral Point 3-0
Neillsville 2-1
Amherst 1-2
Fall Creek 0-3

Mineral Point won all three of its games in Pool G. The Pointers, which finished as the 2021 Division 4 state runner-up, defeated Neillsville, 42-27, in their final game of the day. Mineral Point also earned wins over Amherst, 55-32, and 2021 D4 state qualifier Fall Creek, 50-31, at the Jerry Petitgoue Invite. 

Pool H

Kiel 3-0
Sauk Prairie 2-1
Shiocton 1-2
Hayward 0-3

Kiel won all three of its games in Pool H at the Jerry Petitgoue Invite at JustAgame Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells. The Raiders topped Shiocton, 32-27, in overtime in their first day of the day. Kiel then went on to beat Hayward, 35-19, and Sauk Prairie, 36-27. 

Pool I

Hillsboro 2-1
Edgar 2-1
Loyal 1-2
Hilbert 1-2

Hillsboro went 2-1 at the Jerry Petitgoue Invite and finished first in Pool I. The Tigers fell to Hilbert, 33-22, to open the day, but went on to Loyal, 30-16, and Edgar, 40-25, to finish tied atop the standings with Edgar. The tiebreaker was point differential and Hillsboro earned the top spot in its pool. 

Pool N

Randolph 3-0
Lodi 2-1
Belleville 2-2
Prescott 1-2
Lac Courte Oreilles 0-3

Randolph went unbeaten in Pool N and had a 45-point score differential in its contests. The Rockets beat Prescott, 48-24, Belleville, 59-24, and Lac Courte Oreilles, 41-16, at the Jerry Petitgoue Invite at JustAgame Fieldhouse.
