Colby scored first in a huge Marawood Conference showdown with Division 7 top-ranked Edgar, and it stayed a 7-0 ballgame into the fourth quarter. That's when things opened up considerably, with Edgar scoring to go up 8-7 before Colby found the end zone three times and held on for a 29-14 victory. The Hornets' ground game did the trick, racking up 360 yards, led by 163 and two touchdowns from quarterback Brent Jeske. Mason Voss added 116 yards, while Caden Healy found the end zone twice as well.

It was an unexpected showdown of unbeaten teams, but it had plenty of excitement as Mount Horeb/Barneveld survived a wild fourth quarter to defeat Portage 29-26 in a Badger-Small Conference contest. Portage led 14-8 heading into the fourth, but Mount Horeb/Barneveld scored 21 straight points, including a safety, to go up 29-14, then withstood a pair of late touchdowns from Portage, who couldn't convert on the extra points to establish the final. Quarterback Kolton Schaller had 234 yards of total offense with two rushing scores, while Tyler Buechner ran for 110 yards and a touchdown and Trenton Owens contributed 88 yards and a score. Wyatt Denu hauled in four passes for 111 yards and a touchdown for the Vikings.

It was an incredible atmosphere for high school football, as more than 5,000 fans packed Inpro Field in Muskego for the host Warriors taking on Mukwonago in the Kwik Trip Game of the Week. The first score came on defense, when Muskego's Logan Lawonn picked off a pass and returned it 31 yards for a touchdown midway through the first quarter. The Warriors would take a 17-0 lead into halftime, but Mukwonago chipped away and pulled within 20-14 when Wynn Stang scored from a yard out with 8:27 left in the game. However, Muskego's defense rose to the challenge, helping to bail out the offense that fumbled inside the five yard line and missed a field goal that would have added to the lead, as the Warriors held on to defeat Mukwonago 20-14.

Plymouth's defense has been incredible this year, as not only has the unit allowed just 20 points in four games, but the Panthers have 11 interceptions on the season, returning five of them for touchdowns. That was the story in a 31-12 win over rival Kewaskum on Friday, as the Panthers picked off the Indians four times, with Ian Struve and Marco Troka returning interceptions for touchdowns. 

Every week is a battle for Slinger, who has played three, one-score games in addition to a long trip to Marshfield in Week 2 that ended in a no contest when weather moved in early in the game. After falling to Hartford 24-20 to begin North Shore Conference play last week, the Owls traveled to Division 2, second-ranked Homestead. Slinger jumped out to a 20-0 lead after the first quarter, as Avery Kurth caught a pair of touchdowns and ran for another. From there, the Owls held on for dear life, and pulled out a 20-14 victory over Homestead. Kurth finished with 129 total yards and three touchdowns, adding five tackles and an interception on defense.
