Football Week 5 Prep Props: State's Top Performances

Prep Props - Week 5

Prep Props is our weekly look at the best individual statistical performances in the state, with the leaders in rushing yards, passing yards, and receiving yards. Prep Props is published every Monday morning, and for players to be included, coaches must enter game stats by 8 am on Monday.

Week 5 Rushing Leaders

Cambridge ran for more than 500 yards as a team in a 53-7 victory over Dodgeland on Friday, with most of the damage done by senior running back Trey Colts. He carried the ball just 20 times, but went for 444 yards and six touchdowns on the ground, averaging 22.2 yards per carry. His rushing total is seventh-most in state history. Colts also caught two passes for 29 yards and a touchdown while adding five tackles on defense.

Week 5 Passing Leaders

Oshkosh North came up short in a 56-26 loss to Fond du Lac on Friday, though the offense went for more than 500 total yards. Most of that came through the air via quarterback Peyton Lyon. He completed 18-of-29 passes for 388 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions, adding 48 yards on the ground in the loss.

Week 5 Receiving Leaders

Stanley-Boyd scored a wild comeback victory on Friday, defeating Mondovi 28-27 in walkoff fashion. While he didn't score the winning touchdown, Brady Potaczek had a huge night, catching 11 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns for the Orioles and head coach Jeff Koenig.
