Week 3 WisSports.net Football Coaches Poll
Week 2 WisSports.net Football Coaches Poll
Week 1 WisSports.net Football Coaches Poll

Please note, divisional placement in our poll is based on our Enrollment Projections done earlier this year. Divisional placement in the WIAA playoffs is not determined until after the season and these projections can and will be different than the divisions at the end of the year.

Division 1

The big question this week revolved around who would replace Muskego at the top of the rankings following the Warriors' shocking loss to Oconomowoc. The answer...the Franklin Sabers. Settling in at number two is Kimberly, followed by Sun Prairie. Muskego lands at four this week. Bay Port went down in a heartbreaker to De Pere for its first loss of the year, and the Pirates tumble from seventh to tenth.

Division 2

The top-ranked team in D2 remains Waunakee, followed in the top five by Brookfield East, DeForest, Wauwatosa West, and Pulaski. Slinger moves up from a tie for tenth to the seventh position, while De Pere's big win over Bay Port kept the Redbirds in the rankings again this week.

Division 3

Baraboo withstood Mount Horeb/Barneveld without star two-way player Luna Larson, and the T-Birds are number one once again. A couple top five teams went down for a second time this season, as Whitefish Bay was able to hold in the rankings at seven from two, though Menasha dropped out completely. Greendale moves up to second, followed by Luxemburg-Casco, Union Grove, and Plymouth in the top five. Rhinelander makes its debut at six, Port Washington enters at eight, and Rice Lake is tenth this week.

Division 4

Catholic Memorial is again the top-ranked team in Division 4 in advance of a huge matchup this week with fellow unbeaten Wauwatosa West. Columbus and Kiel dropped games this week, allowing West Salem and Wisconsin Dells to enter the poll at nine and ten respectively.

Division 5

The top nine did not change at all, with Lake Country Lutheran dominating the poll in Division 5 once again. D5 is one of the toughest divisions in the state with a number of top-level teams. Mayville is new this week at number ten.

Division 6

Regis has a strong hold on the top position in Division 6, though Colby did steal a number one vote. The Hornets are second this week. Abbotsford had to cancel against Colby and the Falcons slide one spot to sixth this week, with Markesan moving into the top five. Augusta is new to the poll, as the Beavers may be ranked for the first time ever in the WSN Coaches Poll.

Division 7

No changes in the top six, with Bangor still holding on to the top spot of the D7 rankings. Reedsville posted an impressive 42-7 win over former seventh-ranked Hilbert, solidifying the Panthers' hold on the number two spot. Pepin/Alma is unbeaten and moves in to the poll at number ten, replacing Hilbert, who drops out.

8-Player

Gilman remains in the top spot of the 8-Player Coaches Poll, followed again by Newman Catholic and Oakfield. Luck suffered its first loss of the season against Prairie Farm, which caused several changes in the rankings. Luck dropped from fourth to eighth, Prairie Farm enters the poll for the first time at number seven. Clayton makes a big jump up this week from ninth to fifth.
