We asked, you voted, and Wauwatosa West at Catholic Memorial has been selected as the Kwik Trip Game of the Week for Week 5 of the high school football season. A total of 2,855 votes were cast, as this one received 1,083 of those votes.

The Kwik Trip Game of the Week allows you, the fans, to pick what you feel is the biggest high school football game in the state each week. Not only will that game get featured on WisSports.net, but WSN General Manager Travis Wilson will make it his destination that week, with updates, photos, videos, and stories from the big game.

And of course, no trip to a big game in Wisconsin would be complete without a stop or two at Kwik Trip! Kwik Trip is a family-owned company with more than 700 stores around the Midwest, and has the best selection of snacks, drinks, and of course gas to fuel your pre- or post-game needs. So what will it be for you...glazers, chocolate milk, or maybe Travis' favorite, the Spicy Chicken Sandwich!

Tosa West got a shock last week when its game against crosstown rival Tosa East was canceled as the Trojans were getting dressed in the locker room.

They'll have to stay up, however, as this week is a monumental showdown for the program against Division 4 top-ranked Catholic Memorial. The Crusaders have outscored league opponents 129-3 thus far and have looked as dominant as ever.

However, perhaps no team has dominated this season as much as Tosa West. The Trojans are averaging 67 points per game while attempting just two passes all year. They’ve run for 2,116 yards in four games, averaging 529 yards per game and 14.2 yards per carry.

This one is set for a 7:15 pm kickoff on Friday at Carroll University in Waukesha, and features a great amount of respect from both programs.

"We have been fortunate to stay healthy and come out on top of all of our games so far," said legendary CMH coach Bill Young. "The true test is this Friday against a great and well-coached team from Wauwatosa West.

"We have so much respect for Coach Kolstad and the job he has done over at Tosa West. We have to play at our best on every play to have a chance. We have to prove that we can be physical and execute for four quarters and overtime if needed."

Coming off a late game shutdown last week, Wauwatosa West coach Andy Kolstad is extra appreciative of being able to get back to just playing football.

"Last year, there were times we could only have a maximum of 10 kids in a room at one time," he said. "And many times no more than 50 on the field outside at one time. We had so many little things last year that you forget now. When you can just change in your locker room, use the water filler, and all be together, it makes coaching high school football a heck of a lot easier.

"I seeing the kids back in schools interacting with each other. Love seeing the crowds at games. High school kids are fueled by the social and emotional aspect of their lives so being in the building is such a positive. Looking up in the bleachers and seeing family and friends is such a positive."

The Trojans have made significant improvements the last couple years, but are working to stay grounded despite the extra attention.

"We are both humbled and honored to be considered for this spotlight, but to us, we treat it as another Friday night," said Kolstad. "We respect all our opponents and their coaching staffs. Our goal is to be the best us on Friday night. We need to let our expectations set the bar and we need to rise to them on as many plays as we can.

"Coach Young and his staff run a great program. They are a very talented team. Not only that, they are organized and everything they do is done to the top standard. I love that we are able to compete against that."
