RallyAroundUs Athlete of the Week: September 27 - October 3

Below are the RallyAroundUs Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of September 27 through October 3. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

RallyAroundUs Athlete of the Week Nominees: September 27 - October 3

Grace Krawze, Wabeno/Laona girls volleyball: The Wabeno/Laona girls volleyball team has gone 22-5 on the season thus far, leading to the Rebels being ranked tenth in Division 4 in the WVCA poll. Krawze has been great at the setter position and was the key assist to two sweeps last week. In the 3-0 win over Shiocton, the junior setter had 26 assists and added seven digs and one kill. In the following 3-0 sweep of Phelps, Krawze had 27 assists with three aces and a dig.

Carter Quade, Lakeland boys soccer: Quade has been unflappable at goalkeeper this year for the 13-0-2 Lakeland Thunderbirds. Last week he posted two shutouts. First in a 1-0 win over Medford, Quade recorded nine saves. He followed it up with six saves in 3-0 win over Ashland. For the season, Quade has allowed just six goals and logged 69 saves in 15 matches this year.

Zach Sheridan, Greendale football: Greendale is now 7-0 on the season and sitting atop the WSN Football Coaches poll in Division 3 after a 35-14 win over Whitnall last Friday. Sheridan was extremely efficient at the quarterback position for the Panthers. The senior signal caller completed 10 of 14 passes for 249 yards and three touchdowns in the 21 point victory.

Gabe Voung, Sun Prairie boys soccer: Voung scored points, whether it be goals or assists in each of Sun Prairie's four wins this past week. First in a 5-0 win over Beloit Memorial, he had a lone goal. Voung was then exceptional in a 10-0 win over Janesville Parker, netted a hat trick and assisting on four other goals. The Cardinals then hosted a quad on Saturday. In a 1-0 win over Eau Claire Memorial, Voung assisted on a goal and finished the week with a lone goal in a 2-1 win over Hudson.

Cate Yunker, The Prairie School girls volleyball: Yunker set the tone at the setter position for The Prairie School volleyball squad this past week as they went 6-0, including a first place finish at the Brookfield Academy Invite. First however, she recorded 22 assists, 12 aces, six digs and four kills in a 3-0 win over Racine St. Catherine's. The junior setter then had 55 assists, six digs, three kills and three aces in a 3-2 thriller over Kenosha St. Joseph. The Hawks then went 4-0 and won the Brookfield Academy Invite on Saturday. Yunker had 81 assists, ten kills, nine aces and eight digs through the four matches.
