Week 8 Prep Props: State's Top Performances

Prep Props - Week 8

Prep Props is our weekly look at the best individual statistical performances in the state, with the leaders in rushing yards, passing yards, and receiving yards. Prep Props is published every Monday morning, and for players to be included, coaches must enter game stats by 8 am on Monday.

Coaches, if you do not have access or need assistance entering stats info, please contact us ASAP. Players, parents, and fans, if you do not see your favorite player's stats here, please encourage your team's coach to enter stats info on WSN by the weekly deadline.

Week 8 Rushing Leaders

Hilbert found itself tied at 28 at halftime against Howards Grove Friday night, when Reed Breckheimer took over. He scored rushing touchdowns of 63 yards and 58 yards in the third quarter then another from 39 yards out in the fourth as the Wolves pulled away for a 49-34 victory. Breckheimer would finish with 387 yards on 20 carries with four total touchdowns. He also had 10 tackles, a 30-yard punt return, punted once for 37 yards, and booted home all seven extra points.

Week 8 Passing Leaders

Lakeland won quite the shootout with Ashland on Friday, posting a 60-40 victory. Quarterback Brayden Wiczek had a big day, completing 29-of-42 passes for 429 yards and five touchdowns in the game. He also ran for a pair of short touchdowns.

Week 8 Receiving Leaders

Shawano beat rival Seymour 24-7 on Friday to keep its playoff chances alive on Friday. The offense was well-balanced, with more than 200 yards through the air and on the ground. Elliot Lowney had a big game in just his second of the season coming off injury, catching nine passes for 181 yards and two touchdowns.
