We asked, you voted, and Brillion at Kohler/Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian has been selected as the Kwik Trip Game of the Week for Week 9 of the high school football season. A total of 10,958 votes were cast, as this one received 4,301 of those votes.

The Kwik Trip Game of the Week allows you, the fans, to pick what you feel is the biggest high school football game in the state each week. Not only will that game get featured on WisSports.net, but WSN Content Manager Norbert Durst will make it his destination that week, with updates, photos, videos, and stories from the big game.

And of course, no trip to a big game in Wisconsin would be complete without a stop or two at Kwik Trip! Kwik Trip is a family-owned company with more than 700 stores around the Midwest, and has the best selection of snacks, drinks, and of course gas to fuel your pre- or post-game needs. So what will it be for you...glazers, chocolate milk, or maybe the Spicy Chicken Sandwich!

Brillion is undefeated in conference play thanks to four shutouts and just 14 points allowed. Kohler/Sheboygan Lutheran/Chrisitian is the highest-scoring team in the state, averaging 49 points per game. Something will have to give in this showdown that will determine the champion of the Eastern Wisconsin Conference, as both teams are a perfect 6-0 in league play coming in.

"It has been a breath of fresh air getting back to a more normalized football year," said Brillion head coach Tanner Behnke. "It has allowed us to concentrate more on football and less on off-field routines that were influenced by COVID procedures."

Kohler/Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian coach Ryan Eigenberger echoes those sentiments.

"Getting back normalized is incredible for our student-athletes," he said. "We were better able to prepare mentally and physically in the off-season and it has helped us stay healthy."

Both teams have looked very good in the early going and responded well.

"The many long hours in the off-season and during practice have paid off as we have taken a game-by-game approach to the season," said Eigenberger.

Behnke added, "The first part of the season has gone well for us. It has not been without adversity, which I feel our players have responded well to when faced with. We have made a lot of growth through our first eight games."

While the winner of this matchup will take home an outright Eastern Wisconsin title, there is still a lot to play for going forward and a lot to be proud of so far.

"To be entering Week 9 undefeated in conference playing another undefeated team is a great accomplishment, hats off to the Brillion and KLC athletes," said Kohler/Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian's Eigenberger.
