The pair finished on top, beating East Troy's Sophia Rondeau and Katie Metcalf in the championship bout 6-2, 6-3. The senior quarterback accounted for all four touchdowns this past Friday in a 25-0 shutout of Black Hawk/Warren. Drone threw for 136 yards and a score and added 176 yards and three more touchdowns on the ground. Defensively he finished second with eleven tackles.

Sophia Paape & Shelby Roth, Neenah girls tennis: Paape and Roth came into last weekend looking to repeat on their alternate season doubles title this past spring. Paape and Roth finished 31-1 on the season and are the first duo to ever win two state titles in the same sport in the same calendar year.

Ava Salay, Prescott girls golf: Salay and the rest of the field had to battle the elements this past weekend at the WIAA State Golf Meet at University Ridge in Madison, as rain caused delays Friday. Salay, a runner-up the past two seasons, finally broke through and won, shooting a +4 overall. The junior golfer finished 14 strokes ahead of the second place finisher as she took home the Division 2 crown. Prescott as a team won its second consecutive Division 2 team title.

Kaede Usui, Franklin girls tennis: Usui finished a perfect 35-0 on the season, culminating in winning the Division 1 single title this past Saturday. Usui, just a freshman, beating fellow freshman Elkhorn's Parker Christensen 7-5, 6-7 (8), 6-2 in the championship match. Usui was the top seed coming into the tournament and finished that way.
