We asked, you voted, and Kaukauna at Hartford has been selected as the Kwik Trip Game of the Week for Level 1 of the high school football season. A total of 3,963 votes were cast, as this one received 1,515 of those votes.

The Kwik Trip Game of the Week allows you, the fans, to pick what you feel is the biggest high school football game in the state each week. Not only will that game get featured on WisSports.net, but WSN General Manager Travis Wilson will make it his destination that week, with updates, photos, videos, and stories from the big game.

And of course, no trip to a big game in Wisconsin would be complete without a stop or two at Kwik Trip! Kwik Trip is a family-owned company with more than 700 stores around the Midwest, and has the best selection of snacks, drinks, and of course gas to fuel your pre- or post-game needs. So what will it be for you...glazers, chocolate milk, or maybe Travis' favorite the Spicy Chicken Sandwich!

Hartford and Kaukauna are a couple 6-3 teams who had hopes of challenging for league titles but finished down the standings a bit. Scoring hasn't generally been a problem for either team, as each average 30 points per game.

Kaukauna has played a couple different quarterbacks this season, but whoever plays there can depend on an explosive reliable target in receiver Carson Sippel.

Like all coaches around the state who have seen and dealt with last-minute changes at times in the last year, Kaukauna coach Matt Binsfeld has felt really good about how things have gone in a more normal 2021.

"Don't get me wrong, this has not been like 2019, but it's certainly been a better experience for the kids," he said.

As for the game and a return trip to the playoffs, Binsfeld likes how his team has handled things this season.

"We have played a great schedule of games and our losses have been from some good teams," he said. "We have played at a high level the majority of the season, which has hopefully prepared us for the postseason."

As for some of the keys to the game?

"Can we move the ball through the air in cold conditions? Can we stop their running game? The number of possessions we get will be important. It's always exciting to see how kids handle these situations."

Hartford has turned a bit more to the running game, including 1100-yard rusher A.J. Pepin, 700-yard rusher Noah Deibert, plus Quinten Hornada, who has chipped in with 405 yards.
