Peter Kuchta of Coleman has been selected as the Level 3 Football Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. His big day helped the Cougars dominated Hurley on the road in Level 3. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Level 3. A total of 6,134 votes were cast, as Kuchta's 2,047 were enough to edge out second place Myles Burkett of Franklin, who tallied 1,223 votes.

In a showdown of unbeaten teams, Coleman's Peter Kuchta scored the first points of the game on a three-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. he added a 25-yard touchdown catch a short time later as the Cougars led 14-0 at halftime. With Hurley driving into Coleman territory early in the third quarter, Kuchta intercepted a Northstars pass and returned it 72 yards for a touchdown. He finished with five carries for 80 yards plus the 25-yard reception, as well as the Pick-6 in an impressive 36-6 victory over Hurley.

He currently serves on the WFCA Executive Board and is a member of the Executive Board of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association. A graduate of Richland Center High School and Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Travis was a three-sport athlete in high school (football, baseball, basketball), inducted to the Richland Center High School Hall of Fame in 2023, and currently resides in Reedsburg.
