RallyAroundUs Athlete of the Week Nominees: November 8-14

Brennen Dvorachek, Reedsville football: Dvorachek scored four touchdowns as he led the Panthers to a 47-8 victory over Cashton in Level 4 of the football playoffs. The senior quarterback threw for 63 yards and a score while rushing for 111 yards and two more touchdowns. He added a 78 yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Dvorachek's huge day is a big reason why Reedsville will be making their first state championship in football program history.

Izzy Enz, Edgewood girls swimming: Enz set a individual record and was a part of two record setting relays this past week at the Division 2 State Meet. First in the 200 yard freestyle, she swam it in a record setting time of 1:47.65. She followed it up with a 500 yard freestyle win in 4:55.29. Enz then teamed with Sophie Reed, Brynn Stacey and Abby Reid to win the 200 yard freestyle relay in a state meet record time of 1:34.46. The junior then teamed again with Stacey, Reed and Anna teDuits to set a new state meet record in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:25.56. The Crusaders took home the Division 2 team title.

Conner Krach, Newman Catholic football: Krach was excellent as he quarterbacked the Newman Catholic football team to a 49-6 win over Luck and an 8-Player State Championship. The junior quarterback completed 11 of 15 passes for 131 yards and two scores. He was just as brilliant on the ground, rushing 12 times for 128 yards and three more touchdowns. The Fighting Cardinals won their first 8-Player title after losing to Luck in the 2019 state championship.

Addison Ostrenga, Sun Prairie football: Ostrenga was consistently the best player on the field as Sun Prairie knocked off Mukwonago 38-31 to advance to the WIAA Division 1 State Championship. The Iowa commit did it on both sides of the ball too. Up three with 4:47 to play, Ostrenga forced and recovered a fumble to give the ball back to the Cardinals. He scored a touchdown on the ensuing possession to put Sun Prairie up ten with 3:11 left in the game. Ostrenga finished the game with eight catches for 95 yards and that touchdown and had three tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and recovery on defense.

Abby Wanezek, Brookfield East girls swimming: Wanezek was a big reason why Brookfield East won the Division 1 team state meet this past weekend. Individually she won the 50 yard freestyle swim in 22.54 which broke her own Division 1 state meet record. The senior swimming also won the 100 yard freestyle in 49.35. Wanezek teamed with Audrey Olen, Reese Tiltmann and Lucy Thomas to set a state meet record in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:31.13. She then teamed with Olen, Tilmann and her sister Maggie to win the 400 yard freestyle relay in 3:19.32, which broke the relay's own record from 2020.
