MEN’S BASKETBALL

Ethan Anderson, Senior (Black River Falls, Wis./Black River Falls), Guard of UW-La Crosse 

Anderson averaged 23.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 blocks in two UW-La Crosse wins. He finished with 27 points, six rebounds and two blocks in a 75-74 overtime win at Augsburg University (Minn.) on Nov. 17, going 11-of-15 from the field, including three-of-four from three-point range. Anderson had 20 points, six rebounds and three assists in UW-La Crosse's 83-56 win over Buena Vista University (Iowa) on Nov. 20. For the week, he shot 64.5% (20-of-31) from the field, including 50.0% (four-of-eight) from three-point range, and 75.0% (three-of-four) at the line.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL 

Nikki Arneson, Senior (Mount Horeb, Wis./Mount Horeb), Forward of UW-Oshkosh 

Arneson averaged 17.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists as UW-Oshkosh defeated Edgewood College, 78-46, Alma College (Mich.), 72-42, and St. Norbert College, 71-40. Arneson accumulated 53 points in the three contests by shooting 70.4 percent (19-27) from the field, while converting all five free throws. She made 10 of 12 3-point shots (83.3 percent) while counting 14 rebounds (13 defensive), seven assists and one steal. During UW-Oshkosh’s road win over Edgewood College on Nov. 17, Arneson scored 22 points with four rebounds and three assists in 25 minutes of playing time. She shot 7 of 9 from the field, including 3 of 4 behind the 3-point arc, while sinking all five free throws. In the Titans’ home victory over Alma College on Nov. 19, Arneson helped UW-Oshkosh win the opening game of its own tournament (UW-Oshkosh Classic) by scoring a season-high 29 points with eight rebounds, one assist and one steal during 30 minutes of activity. She shot 11 of 15 from the field, including a perfect 7-for-7 behind the 3-point arc. Her 3-point accuracy against the Scots set a school record and was the second-best performance in WIAC history. During UW-Oshkosh’s home triumph over St. Norbert College on Nov. 20, Arneson helped the Titans win the second game of their own tournament by counting two points, two rebounds and three assists in 18 minutes of playing time. She shot 1 of 3 from the field and missed her only 3-point attempt. Arneson was named the Most Outstanding Player at the UW-Oshkosh Classic, which also involved Ripon College.
