Division 1

De Pere is the top team in the initial WisSports.net Division 1 Boys Basketball Coaches Poll of the 2021-22 season. The Redbirds are followed in the top five by Menomonee Falls, Appleton East, Eau Claire Memorial, and Brookfield East. Of note, defending state champion Wauwatosa East is not ranked and received just one vote in the poll after returning just one starter from a year ago, albeit a good one in Virginia recruit Leon Bond.

Division 2

Defending state champion Pewaukee is the heavy favorite in the voting for Division 2 to begin the year, as the Pirates return four starters from last year, including a pair of Division 1 prospects in junior Milan Momcilovic and sophomore Nick Janowski. Rounding out the top five are Wisconsin Lutheran, DeForest, La Crosse Central, and Ashwaubenon.

Division 3

Lake Country Lutheran was the state runner-up in Division 3 last year but the Lightning start 2021-22 as the favorite according to the coaches in the WSN poll. The Crusaders of Catholic Memorial are next, followed by West Salem, Northwestern, and East Troy.

Division 4

With an incredible influx of young talent in the freshman and sophomore classes, Milwaukee Academy of Science received the vast majority of number one votes to open the Division 4 Coaches Poll. Sheboygan Lutheran is next, followed by Cuba City, Roncalli, and Darlington.

Division 5

A pair of Trailways Conference teams are at the top of the Division 5 rankings this week, as Randolph occupies the number one spot, while Lourdes Academy is second. Bangor is third, followed by last season's state champ Hustisford and then Columbus Catholic.
