RallyAroundUs Athlete of the Week: November 29 - December 5

Below are the RallyAroundUs Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of  November 29 through December 5. Voting is open until Thursday at 4 pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

RallyAroundUs Athlete of the Week Nominees: November 29 - December 5

Grace Grocholski, Kettle Moraine girls basketball: Grocholski led Kettle Moraine to two straight Classic 8 wins last week and hit a milestone in the process. First in an 86-61 win over Catholic Memorial, the do-it-all junior had 32 points and 10 points. The Arizona State commit then had 27 points and five rebounds in a 60-52 win over Waukesha West. Grocholski scored her 1,000th point just four games into her junior season.

Grant Manz, Kiel boys basketball: If there is a ball to be rebounded, Manz has been the one to haul it in early on this season for Kiel. The 6'4" sophomore hauled in 19 rebounds and added 13 points in a 60-50 win over Kewaunee. Manz followed that up with 12 points and a school record 26 rebounds in a 72-36 win over New Holstein. For the season, he is averaging over 20 rebounds per game and has had a double double in all three games this year.

Isabella Millan, Florence girls basketball: Millan filled the stat sheet as she led Florence to a pair of wins last week. First in a 53-49 win over North Dickinson, the sophomore wing had 32 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Millan then had her first career triple-double in a 66-43 win over Elcho. She went for 24 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists. Millan added five steals and three blocks on defense.

Max Nelson, Appleton North boys basketball: Nelson has been scoring at an elite level early on for the Appleton North boys squad. In an 81-73 win over Bay Port, the Valparaiso commit had 34 points and eight rebounds. Nelson followed that up with 38 points and nine rebounds in a 95-70 win over Kaukauna. The 6'8" post is ranked third in WSN's Class of 2022 rankings.

Lindsay Steien, Blair-Taylor girls basketball: Blair-Taylor is 3-0 on the year and went 2-0 last week as Steien has been exceptional early on. In a 65-41 win over Eleva-Strum, the junior wing had 31 points, nine steals, eight rebounds and six assists. She followed that up with 27 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and four steals in a 68-36 win over Whitehall. In the victory over Whitehall, Steien surpassed 1,000 points in her prep career.
