VIDEO: Nakiyah Hurst hits game-winning three to lift MAS to an overtime win against Beaver Dam

Nakiyah Hurst hit the game-winner before the buzzer to lift Milwaukee Academy of Science past Beaver Dam, 85-82, in overtime on Tuesday. 

With the game tied at 82, Hurst caught the ball just inside half court, dribbled twice, and shot the three-pointer that won the game for the Novas. Below are two videos of the game-winning shot.

Hurst, who is signed with NCAA Division I University of North Dakota, finished the game with 27 points, 17 rebounds, five assists, three steals, and six blocks in the victory. 

The 6-0 wing shot 10-for-18 from the field and made five of seven from 3-point land, including the game-winner. 

MAS also got a strong performance from junior Lalani Ellis, a 5-7 guard, who tallied 22 points, nine rebounds, two assists, nine steals, and a block. Beautiful Waheed, a 5-6 guard, contributed 12 points, four rebounds, six assists, and four steals for coach Giovanni Riley and the Novas. 

Beaver Dam sophomore Anni Salettel, a 5-11 guard, tied the game with a three-pointer from the left corner with under 15 seconds to play before Hurst hit the game-winning shot for MAS. Salettel netted 11 points in the contest. 

The Golden Beavers were led by sophomore Gabby Wilke, a 6-2 wing/forward who has a number of NCAA Division I offers, finished with a game-high 28 points and connected on four triples in the loss. 

Beaver Dam junior Bella Oestreicher, a 5-9 guard, added 22 points for coach Tim Chase and the Golden Beavers. 

Milwaukee Academy of Science, ranked No. 6 in the Division 4 WSN Coaches Poll, improved to 5-2 on the season. 

Beaver Dam, ranked No. 5 in the D2 WSN Coaches Poll, dropped to 6-2 on the year.
