Many high school football standouts in Wisconsin go on to big things at the college level and in the pros, and this is our spot to recognize those athletes each week and help you keep up with what is going down on some of your favorite players from the past. ACC

Airon Servais, Ashwaubenon: Servais finished his college career at Syracuse with 60 straight starts on the offensive line, including the 12 he made this season.

Big 10

Leo Chenal, Grantsburg: Chenal missed two games this season, but was incredible all year for the Wisconsin Badgers. Just a junior, he took home all-conference honors as well as being named the Butkus-Fitzgerald Linebacker of the Year in the Big 10. Chenal finished the season with 106 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, seven sacks, two forced fumbles and five quarterback hits. The junior linebacker was recently named the a Second Team Sporting News and AP All-American.

Josh Seltzner, Columbus: Seltzner entered his senior season with seven starts on the offensive line for Wisconsin. Despite not starting every game, he impressed enough on his time on the field to earn first team honors from the Big Ten coaches and second team from media. Seltzner was also named to the AP All-American Third Team.

Jake Ferguson, Madison Memorial: Ferguson ended his college career at Wisconsin earning first team All-Big Ten honors for the second consecutive season. Ferguson ended the season with 43 catches for 417 yards and two touchdowns. In his career, he caught 142 balls for 1,585 yards and 12 touchdowns in 46 career games.

Keeanu Benton, Janesville Craig: Benton shot up draft boards after a great sophomore season for Bucky and built off it earning second team honors, as voted by the coaches. The stout defensive lineman finished the year with 24 tackles, five for loss, two and a half sacks, two fumble recoveries and two pass break ups.

Braelon Allen, Fond du Lac: Allen bursted onto the scene in his true freshman season at running back, acting as the catalyst for a Badger offense that struggled early in the season. Earning unanimous second-team honors, Allen finished the year with 1,109 rushing yards on 157 carries and 12 touchdowns. He averaged over seven yards per carry and had seven, 100 yard rushing games.

Logan Bruss, Kimberly: Bruss earned Second Team All-Big Ten this season after making third team in 2020. He came into the season with 25 starts for Wisconsin and anchored the offensive line at right tackle.

Matt Henningsen, Menomonee Falls: Henningsen succeeded on the field as much as he did off of it this season. On the season, the senior defensive lineman tallied 31 tackles, five and a half for loss, three sacks and a pass break up. Off the field, Henningsen was named a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, given to the player that best combines on-field success, academic excellence, and exudes leadership. It's considered the "Academic Heisman".

Tyler Beach, Port Washington: Beach earned Third Team All-Big Ten this season after making the honorable mention team in 2020. He is one of five offensive lineman to earn all-conference honors for the Badgers and finishes his senior season at Wisconsin having played in 46 games.

Jack Nelson, Stoughton: Nelson is the last of the five Badger offensive lineman to earn all-conference recognition. After redshirting in 2020, Nelson stepped in on the offensive line and didn't look back. He played in all 12 games for Wisconsin.

Jarrett Horst, Middleton: Horst transferred from Arkansas State after starting the past two seasons on their offensive line. This season, Horst started the first eight games for the Spartans before being forced out due to injury. He played well enough in those eight starts to earn Honorable Mention All-Big Ten.

Big 12

Will McDonald IV, Waukesha North: McDonald IV finished his career at Iowa State as the school's leading sacker with 29. This year, he earned All-Big 12 honors for the third straight season as he finished with 32 tackles, 14 for loss, 11.5 sacks and five forced fumbles. McDonald was named the Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year and has shot up draft boards for the 2022 NFL draft.

MAC

Luke Goedeke, Valders: Goedeke missed the 2020 season due to an injury, but his comeback proved fruitful for Central Michigan as he earned First Team All-MAC honors. The junior offensive lineman started 10 games for the Chippewas.

Mike Caliendo, Brookfield East: Like Henningsen mentioned above, Caliendo was phenomenal off and on the field this season at Western Michigan. On the field, he earned his third straight All-MAC honors after starting all 12 games for the Broncos, finishing with 54 in his career. He was also named a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy.

Logan Zschernitz, Spencer: Zschernitz started at right guard in the shortened 2020 season for Northern Illinois and did once again in the 2021 season. In just his freshman season of eligibility, he was named to the All-MAC Third Team.

Mountain West

Hawk Wimmer, Franklin: Wimmer entered his senior season with just one career start on the Air Force offensive line. The Falcons are known to run the ball a lot, and Wimmer was excellent in the trenches. He earned first team all-conference honors.

Cole Godbout, Hudson: Godbout started ten games as a freshman last season and started every one this year for Wyoming. Playing on the defensive line, he finished the season with 60 tackles, five for loss, four sacks, and five pass break ups.

PAC 12

Keonte Schad, Madison East: Schad spent the last two seasons at Minnesota before landing at Oregon State this season. The senior defensive lineman earned a starting role and ended the season with 38 tackles, three and a half for loss, and a sack, earning Honorable Mention All-Pac 12.

Ivy League

Nick Howard, Green Bay Southwest: Howard lines up at quarterback for Dartmouth, but does most of his damage on the ground. He completed 11 of 18 passes for 126 yards and a score on the season, but added 787 yards and 15 touchdowns on the ground off of 125 carries.

Missouri Valley Conference

Hunter Luepke, Spencer: Luepke earned his second straight All-MVC honors, acting as a do-it-all weapon for the Bison. In addition to acting as a lead blocker for the Bison run game, Luepke had 282 rushing yards and 76 receiving yards on the season, including five total touchdowns.

Jordan Canady, New Berlin Eisenhower: Canady finished his college career at North Dakota earning MVC Honorable Mention All-Conference. Canady finished with 49 tackles, a forced fumble and one interception for the Fighting Hawks. He finished with eight career interceptions.

Devon Krzanowski, Fond du Lac: Krzanowski transferred from St. Cloud State after they shut down their football team in 2019. Last season he made the MVC All-Newcomer team and earned honorable mention laurels this season. Krzanowski finished his senior year with 68 tackles, five for loss, and one and a half sacks for the Fighting Hawks.

Brett Samson, Oconomowoc: Samson earned his third straight MVC All-Conference honors this season for South Dakota. He finished the season with 22 catches for 297 yards and four scores from the tight end position. Samson tallied 86 catches for 997 yards and 14 touchdowns in 52 career games for the Coyotes.

Pioneer League

Alex Rogers, Racine Case: Rogers earned Honorable Mention All-Pioneer League in both the 2019 and 2020 season, but upped his gameplay for Drake, earning First Team this year. He finished with 84 tackles, four for loss, two interceptions and six pass break ups. On his career, Rogers had 197 tackles, 11.5 for loss, two interceptions, and eight pass break ups.

Shane Dunning, Muskego: Dunning served as the primary punter for Drake this season, earning honorable mention honors as a sophomore. He averaged over 39 yards per punt and downed 16 of 58 inside the 20. He also made six of seven PATs and two field goals on the season.
