( Week of December 6-12)

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Lovell Williams, Sophomore (Rogers, Minn./Maple Grove), Guard of UW-Stout 

Williams led UW-Stout to two wins during the week. Williams scored 18 points in a 97-57 home win over Lakeland University (Wis.) on Dec. 6, then upped his scoring to 24 points in an 89-80 win at the University of Dubuque (Iowa) on Dec. 8.  Against the Muskies, Williams was 8-of-13 from the field, 2-of-5 from 3-point range, pulled down five rebounds, dished off six assists and had one steal that allowed Williams to break away and dunk the ball early in the game. Against Dubuque, Williams was 9-of-18 from the floor, shot a career-best 6-of-9 3-point shots, had a career-best nine rebounds, five assists and one steal. For the week, Williams averaged 21.0 points, was 17-of-31 from the floor and 8-of-14 from 3-point range, with 14 rebounds, 11 assists and two steals against only one turnover. For the season, Williams is averaging 18.2 points (third in conference), 3.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists (third in conference).

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL 

Maiah Domask, Senior (Waupun, Wis./Waupun), Forward of UW-Platteville 

Domask scored a career-high 35 points in an 80-61 win over Luther College (Iowa) on Dec. 7. She was 11-of-21 shooting from the field in just over 31 minutes of work to produce the fourth-best scoring total in program history. Domask also grabbed 16 rebounds (6 offensive) and converted 12-of-15 free-throw attempts. The victory was the fifth straight for the Pioneers.
