Bug Tussel Wireless Triple Threat of the Week: Quinn Miskowski, Aquinas

The Bug Tussel Wireless Triple Threat Athlete of the Week is an honor given on WisSports.net to the top senior boys and girls three-sport athletes in the state. Players are recognized each week on WSN, with the a boys and girls winner of the Pat Richter Award at the end of the season to the best three-sport athlete of the year.

The goal and mission of Bug Tussel Wireless is to level the playing field for rural residents despite where they may live. Whether you work from home, your office is downtown or you are manning the family farm, they believe residents should be connected without having to compromise speed, price, quality, service or the environment.

First-team all-Coulee Conference and La Crosse Tribune choice ... Caught 40 passes for 1,041 yards in 2021. 

Basketball Honors: Four-year varsity performer for Aquinas ... Averaging a team-high 17.5 points per game through the first six games of the 2021-22 season, all victories ... Second-team all-league pick in the Mississippi Valley Conference as a sophomore ... Academic all-league pick in each of the past three seasons ... Helped Blugolds to regional titles in 2020 and 2021 ... Averaged 15.1 ppg as a junior and 12.0 ppg as a sophomore. 

Track & Field Honors: Member of the 2020 WIAA Division 3 state championship team at Aquinas ... Finished in fourth place in the long jump in 2020 with a jump of 21-5.25 ... Also finished in eighth place at state in the 4x200 relay.  

Favorite Sport: "Basketball because I have a true love of the game. It makes me happy, and I consider it like an art -- I can always work to fine-tune my skill. Also, it is something I can work on by myself or do for fun in a non-competitive setting with my friends."

Best Part of High School Sports: "I am grateful for all the memories I have made. I like competing the best, but I also made a lot of great friendships  and I like representing my school."

Best Advice from a High School Coach: "Be a three-sport athlete, which was advice from my football coach, Tom Lee."

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: "I have two. First, the absolute best was winning the state championship in football at Camp Randall Stadium and it was a very exciting and close game. The second is celebrating with my team after I made a 3/4-court shot at the halftime buzzer junior year in basketball."

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: "I like always being busy and active, and I have developed a variety of skills."

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: "My body is often sore."

Favorite Opponent: "Arcadia, they have a great facility."

Favorite Professional Teams: Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Pistons (my parents are originally from Michigan)

Biggest Challenge of COVID-19: "Limited gym space."

Most Admired High School Teammate: "Brandon Merfeld was the senior point guard on the basketball team when I was a freshman. He was a good leader and teammate."

College Plans: "Attend a four-year college and study engineering with a business minor."

Activities Outside of Sports: National Honor Society. IMPACT, delivery for Meals on Wheels, hunting.
