Below are the RallyAroundUs Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of January 24 through 30. Voting is open until Thursday at 4 pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

RallyAroundUs Athlete of the Week Nominees: January 24-30

Lianna Baxter, Oconto girls basketball: Baxter has led the Oconto girls basketball to an 18-0 record on the 2021-22 season. The senior filled the stat sheet in two wins last week, starting with a 78-35 win over Sturgeon Bay. Baxter had 23 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and five steals. Baxter, who is close to 1,500 career points, then had 16 points, nine rebounds, three assists and five steals in a 49-43 win over Algoma.

Alexandra Hofrichter, Antigo girls wrestling: Hofricther was part of a record setting weekend as she competed in the first ever WIAA Girls State Wrestling Tournament. The junior completed a perfect season by securing three pins on her way to a gold medal in the 152 pound weight class. Hofricther pinned Oak Creek's Isabella Olesen in the championship bout. She finished 24-0 on the 2021-22 season.

Jeremy Lorenz, Brillion boys basketball: Lorenz has been catalyst for the Brillion boys basketball team which is one of the five remaining unbeaten teams in the state. Last week he secured a pair of double doubles in two wins. First in a 66-24 win over Two Rivers, Lorenz had 19 points, 15 rebounds and four assists. He then had 20 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks in a 60-40 win over Kewaunee. The Lions are 17-0 so far this year.

Jon O'Neill, Kaukauna boys basketball: O'Neill did something this past week that is rarely seen in basketball, a 30 and 30 game. In an 87-79 win over Fond du Lac, the 6'9" sophomore scored 35 points and hauled in an incredible 30 rebounds. O'Neill added another double double in a 76-67 win over Hortonville, scoring 10 points and adding 13 rebounds. O'Neill added eight assists and four blocks in the two wins.

Grace Schmidt, Watertown Luther Prep girls basketball: When Schmidt ends her prep career, she'll have scored over 1,600 points and hauled in over 1,000 rebounds. This past week she aided Luther Prep to a pair of wins. First in a 48-43 win over Cambridge, Schmidt had 19 points, five rebounds, six assists and four steals. The California Baptist commit then had 19 points, 13 rebounds and two assists in a 52-51 win over Poynette. No bucket was more important than her game winning layup with just over a second left on the clock to secure the victory for the Phoenix.
