RallyAroundUs Athlete of the Week: January 31- February 6

Below are the RallyAroundUs Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of January 31 through February 6. Voting is open until Thursday at 4 pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

RallyAroundUs Athlete of the Week Nominees: Jan. 31 - Feb. 6

Chase Beckett, Portage wrestling: Beckett looked to capture his first Badger Conference Tournament title after coming up short as a sophomore and missing it due to injury as a junior. The senior grappler did just that, winning the 126 pound title and crossed a milestone along the way. Beckett, the top ranked wrestler in the 126 pound weight class in Division 2, won his 100th match of his career in the semifinals.

Learic Davis, Milwaukee Bradley Tech boys basketball: Davis was brilliant as Bradley Tech captured a pair of wins this past week. First in a 63-56 win over Milwaukee Washington, the 6'7" senior had 16 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists. Davis, the top unsigned player in the state in the Class of 2022, then had 29 points, 23 rebounds and six steals in a 76-65 win over Milwaukee Bay View.

Emma Jossie, Stevens Point girls basketball: Jossie filled the stat sheet up in a pair of wins for Stevens Point last week. In a 65-44 win over Wausau East, the 5'9" junior had 12 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three blocks. She then had 39 points, four rebounds, five assists and four steals in an 87-81 wino ver D.C. Everest. Jossie was perfect from the field in the win, going 14 of 14 en route to her career high point output.

Parker Prahl, Iola-Scandinavia boys basketball: Iola-Scandinavia is a perfect 17-0 on the 2021-22 basketball season and Prahl has been a major catalyst to the undefeated season. In a 43-40 win over Amherst he had 23 points and 15 rebounds. Prahl followed that up with 20 points in a 59-38 win over Weyauwega-Fremont. Prahl and the Thunderbirds are ranked fifth in Division 4 in the WSN Coaches Poll.

Jaydin Vosters, St. Mary Catholic girls basketball: St. Mary Catholic is one of the top ranked teams in all of division four, having gone 19-1 on the season thus far. They pulled off a pair of impressive wins this past week to solidify their standing. In a 74-70 win over Division 5, sixth ranked Sheboygan Lutheran, Vosters had a team high 23 points along with six rebounds and three assists. The 5'10" senior then had 23 points, seven rebounds, steals and five assists in a 61-53 win over Howards Grove.
