WIAC Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week
( Week of January 31- February 6)

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Ethan Anderson, Senior (Black River Falls, Wis./Black River Falls), Guard of UW-La Crosse 

Anderson averaged 20.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals in two UW-La Crosse wins during the week. He finished with 22 points and seven rebounds against UW-Whitewater on Feb. 2 and then had 18 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals against UW-Eau Claire on Feb. 5. Anderson went 12-of-14 at the free throw line during the week.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL 

Tyra Boettcher, Junior (Menomonie, Wis./Menomonie), Forward of UW-Eau Claire 

Boettcher contributed big minutes for the Blugolds in their two conference wins during the week. Against UW-River Falls on Feb. 2, she was 9-of-11 (81.8 percent) from the field, including 3-of-4 from the three-point line, and 2-of-3 from the free throw line for 23 points. Against UW-La Crosse on Feb. 5, Boettcher tallied 20 points, going 8-of-9 from the free throw line, along with four steals. In the two games, she averaged 35 minutes of playing time and 21.5 points, while converting 15-of-20 field goal attempts (75.0 percent).
