Portage senior Chase Beckett has been selected as the RallyAroundUs Athlete of the Week for the week of January 31 - February 6 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 2,306 total votes this week. Beckett topped all vote getters with 1,180 votes. Milwaukee Bradley Tech's Learic Davis came in second with 665 votes.

Beckett will continue his journey to state this weekend as he competes in regionals.

Beckett looked to capture his first Badger Conference Tournament title after coming up short as a sophomore and missing it due to injury as a junior. The senior grappler did just that, winning the 126 pound title and crossed a milestone along the way. Beckett, the top ranked wrestler in the 126 pound weight class in Division 2, won his 100th match of his career in the semifinals.
