Milwaukee Hamilton junior Demarion Burch has been selected as the RallyAroundUs Athlete of the Week for the week of February 14-20 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 7,504 total votes this week. Burch topped all vote getters with 2,911 votes. Madison La Follette's Demetria Prewitt came in close second with 2,847 votes.

Burch has been a scoring machine this year for the Hamilton boys basketball team. The 6'3" junior is averaging nearly 30 points per game and helped the Wildcats to a pair of wins this past week. First in a 93-72 win over Obama SCTE, Burch scored 32 points. The extremely talented junior then had a career high 51 points in a 114-81 victory over Milwaukee Pulaski. Burch has scored 713 points on the season thus far.

Burch and Milwaukee Hamilton will travel to Janesville Parker next Friday in their regional matchup in the WIAA Playoffs.
