Bug Tussel Wireless Triple Threat Athlete of the Week: Zach Miller, Grantsburg

The Bug Tussel Wireless Triple Threat Athlete of the Week is an honor given on WisSports.net to the top senior boys and girls three-sport athletes in the state. Players are recognized each week on WSN, with the a boys and girls winner of the Pat Richter Award at the end of the season to the best three-sport athlete of the year.

The goal and mission of Bug Tussel Wireless is to level the playing field for rural residents despite where they may live. Whether you work from home, your office is downtown or you are manning the family farm, they believe residents should be connected without having to compromise speed, price, quality, service or the environment.

Grade: Senior

Football Honors: Three-time all-Lakeland Conference performer ... Second-team all-league choice as sophomore and junior, and first-team selection as a senior ... Team co-MVP as a senior. Wisconsin Football Coaches Association all-region pick and WFCA small-school all-state honorable mention ... As a senior, caught 43 passes for 787 yards and five touchdowns ... Also caught eight passes on two-point conversion attempts.  

Basketball Honors: First-team all-Lakeland West Conference performer as a junior after averaging 15.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game ... Averaging 17.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.4 steals as a senior for the Pirates. 

Baseball Honors: Second-team all-Lakeland West Conference pick as a junior ... Led the Pirates in batting average at .431 ... Also finished as one of the Pirates' top pitchers, leading the team in strikeouts and WHIP.

Favorite Sport: "Football. It's the ultimate team sport and nothing compares to a Friday night under the lights."

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: "Beating Durand 38-30 in the WIAA playoffs my junior year in football."
