Senior Girls Basketball Awards: Post Finalists

Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN High School Basketball Awards.

The finalists for the top senior post player have been selected. The winner will be announced the week after the state tournament. 

Sarah Hardwick, 6-0, Notre Dame -- Hardwick has helped the Tritons return to the Division 2 state tournament. The NCAA Divison III UW-Oshkosh commit is averaging 11.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.8 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game for coach Sara Rohde and the defending D2 state champions. Hardwick was a Division 2 WBCA all-state pick last season. Notre Dame is 27-1 entering its state semifinal versus Menomonie. 

Alaina Harper, 6-3, Arrowhead -- Harper led the Warhawks to a Division 1 sectional final before dropping a 48-40 contest against Brookfield East. The Division I Grand Canyon University signee dominated the paint on both ends of the floor while averaging a team-best 17.1 points per game for coach Rick Witte and the 22-5 Warhawks. Harper earned Division 1 honorable mention WBCA all-state s a junior. 

Emma Mommsen, 6-0, Menomonie -- Mommsen has led the Mustangs to the program's first state tournament appearance. The NCAA Division II Concordia St. Paul signee is averaging 15 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 1.8 blocks per game for coach Storm Harmon and the Mustangs. Menomonie claimed the Big Rivers title and is 25-3 entering its Division 2 state semifinal against defending state champion Notre Dame. 

Mya Moore, 6-1, Pius XI Catholic -- Moore led the Lady Popes to a Division 2 sectional final before falling to Pewaukee, 72-54. The NCAA Division I Seattle Univerisity signee averaged 14.5 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game for coach Scott Herrick and the 25-3 Lady Popes. Moore finished her career with 1,224 points and 750 rebounds. 

Grace Schmidt, 6-1, Watertown Luther Prep -- Schmidt led the Phoenix to a 16-8 record and a Division 3 regional final appearance. The NCAA Division I California Baptist signee averaged 22.5 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 2.0 steals per game for coach Eric Paulsen and the Phoenix. Schmidt, a Division 3 WBCA all-state selection last season, finished her career with 1,878 points and 1,085 rebounds.
