Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN Senior Basketball Awards.

The finalists for the top senior wing players have been selected. The winner will be announced the week after the state tournament. 

Steven Clay, 6-5, Menomonee Falls
A 33-point outburst in a 74-70 sectional-final victory over De Pere may have been Clay's most impressive showing of the campaign, but the athletic 6-foot-5 wing has been stellar all winter for state-bound Menomonee Falls. He is averaging 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.3 steals while likely ranking among the state leaders in dunks as well. Clay is undecided about his collegiate plans, but he owns scholarship offers from several NCAA Division I programs. 

Luke Haertle, 6-2, Lake Country Lutheran
The beautiful thing about Haertle is he could probably fit in several of the WSN Senior Basketball Award categories. An extremely versatile and extraordinarily productive player in each of the last four seasons at Lake Country Lutheran, Haertle has scored more than 2,000 points and grabbed more than 1,000 rebounds during his career. He can make mid-range shots, find open teammates and get to the foul line. The preferred walkon for the University of Wisconsin does it all for the Litghting.

Danilo Jovanovich, 6-7, Whitnall
One of the top candidates for the Mr. Basketball award, Jovanovich had a season for the ages for the Whitnall Falcons. The hard-working and ever-improving University of Miami (Fla.) recruit was nothing short of sensational while helping a young Whitnall squad to the Woodland East Conference title and a 23-4 record. He averaged 28.7 points, 11.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists while shooting 70 percent from the field. 

Luke Pautz, 6-5, Roncalli
A leader in every sense of the word, Pautz has done it all for state-bound Roncalli this season. He leads the team in scoring (26.3 ppg), rebounding (11.4 rpg), assists (3.6 apg) and steals (2.6 spg). The Player of the Year in the Eastern Wisconsin Conference, Pautz led Roncalli to the league championship and scored 56 points in a sectional-semifinal win over Saint Mary Catholic.

Andrew Rohde, 6-7, Brookfield Central
Another strong candidate for the Mr. Basketball award, Rohde is one of the more enjoyable players to watch in Wisconsin because of his ability to impact the game on so many different levels. A very strong defender and passer, Rohde is averaging 28.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 2.3 steals for a Brookfield Central squad that takes a 23-5 record into the WIAA State Tournament. He signed with NCAA Division I St. Thomas last fall.

Marcus Tomashek, 6-5, Ashwaubenon
The NCAA Division II recruit for Michigan Tech led the Fox River Classic Conference in scoring and was named the league's Player of the Year despite a third-place finish. That should tell you all you need to know abut the respect others have for Tomashek, a deadly perimeter shooter with size and an intense desire to win. He is averaging 26.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists for the state-bound Jaguars.
