Name: Brant Cracraft

High School: Mishicot

Grade: Senior

Football Honors: Three-year varsity starter for coach Kevin Fix and the Indians ...  Second-team all-Packerland Conference pick at linebacker and honorable mention at running back ... A total of 175 career tackles.

Two-time first-team all-league selection and three-time WIAA state qualifier ... Two-time state finalist, finishing as runner-up in 2021 and state champion in 2022 at 170 pounds in Division 3.

Baseball Honors: Enters senior season as a two-year varsity starter for coach Zach Sand and the Indians.

Favorite Sport: "My favorite sport is by far football, for the brotherhood both on- and off-the-field during the season. In all my sports, I have never quite had that feeling of fighting underneath those Friday night lights with my friends."

Best Part of High School Sports: "The best part of high School athletics are the bonds you form with your teammates, coaches, members of the community, and kids from other schools. Through my athletics, I have met so many people that I otherwise would not have met, which I am so grateful for."

Best Advice from a High School Coach: "The best advice I have received throughout my athletics is ... 'Stay in your head, know your ability, trust the amount of work you put in.' That was from Max and Alex Loberger, my wrestling coaches."

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: "My most memorable moment in high school would be a collection of experiences with football. These are the pre- and post-game traditions as well as the final games played with past seniors and classmates."

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: "Throughout playing sports, I have developed tremendously from all my coaches and opponents, learning both how to win and lose with respect or class no matter the situation. I learned how to keep my head down and mouth shut to get the job done; I have learned so much and have too little space to give all the credit where it is truly due. Thank you to all coaches I’ve had over my four years at Mishicot High School."

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: "The toughest part for me was something that I struggled a little with but eventually became an extremely useful life skill. This was the ability to manage my time and set priorities. With being fully involved in these sports during the season, while continuing wrestling in the off season, I struggled and learned how to balance school and college-class work in the grid of daily life.'

Favorite Opponent: "The Oshkosh wrestling event during Christmas break always gives me amazing opponents that allow myself to gauge how I’m wrestling at that point and shows me different areas I need to work on."

Favorite Professional Teams: Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks and enjoy watching any football teams play

Favorite Professional Athlete: Christian McCaffery, David Taylor, and JJ Wat

Favorite College Teams: Wisconsin Badgers, Oregon Ducks

Cumulative GPA: 3.3

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against: Braeden Scoles of Kewaskum

Biggest Challenge of COVID-19: "Learning virtually and communicating with teachers and classmates when I couldn’t or had a hard time understanding."

Most Admired High School Teammate: "Jacob Hibbard. He has been along side me and a practice a partner throughout all my high school sports and many years before."

College Plans: "A major in a science-related field and wrestle."

Activities Outside of High School Sports: Mishicot Youth Wrestling Club, Manitowoc Chamber of Commerce’s Junior Leadership, and traveling

I Find it Relaxing to: "Hang out with my friends and try new things."
