Below are the Hometown Ticketing Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of April 18-24. Voting is open until Thursday at 4 pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

Hometown Ticketing Athlete of the Week Nominees: Apr. 18-24

Taylor Gordon, Waterford girls soccer: Gordon is one of the top girls soccer players in the state and proved why in the lone match from last week. Waterford downed Wilmot 10-0 in a rout and Gordon was exceptional. The UW-Madison commit netted a hat trick herself and assisted on four other goals, accounting for seven of the ten goals made in the victory.

Jacob Granley, Boyceville baseball: Boyceville got in a pair of games this past weekend despite mother nature attempting to continue its terrorizing reign on this spring season. Granley picked up both wins on the mound, beginning with a five-inning, 11-4 win over Mondovi. Granley gave up two hits, four runs (one earned) and struck out ten batters on the mound. He went two for four from the plate with an RBI. Granley then pitched a complete game shutout in a 6-0 win over Durand. The senior hurler allowed five hits and struck out eleven batters. He went two for four from the plate with an RBI and stole two bases.

Grace Hambel, Freedom girls track and field: Hambel was exceptional at the Little Chute Gary Reybrock Invitational this past weekend. The senior runner began the day with a win in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.15 seconds. Hambel then won both the 200 meter and 400 meter races with times of 26.44 and 59.99 seconds respectively. Hambel's performance helped lead the Freedom girls team to an overall meet title.

Julia Klein, Catholic Central girls track and field: Klein took home a trio of individual wins as Catholic Central blew out all other teams en route to a team title win at the Parkview Don Albright Invitational. Klein won the 100 meter dash in a time of 13.43 seconds. She also won the triple jump with a distance of 33-0 and high jump at 5'0" and finished second int he 200 meter dash. Klein set a school record two days prior in the triple jump at the Greenfield Hustlin Hawks Invite. Her two victories led her to being named the Meet MVP.

Hunter Stelzer, Lourdes Academy baseball: Lourdes is off to a blistering start to this messy 2022 spring season, going 9-0 early on. Stelzer has been a key reason why. The Knights picked up four wins over two double headers against Green Lake/Princeton and Cambria-Friesland, and Stelzer dominated from both the plate and the mound. Over the four games, Stelzer was four for ten from the plate, and drove in four runs. He took the mound in the first game of the Cambria-Friesland double-header and was dominant in the 20-1, five-inning victory. Stelzer struck out nine batters and allowed zero hits despite giving up the run. Five walks and three errors led to the lone unearned run surrendered by Stelzer.
