Hometown Ticketing Athlete of the Week: April 25 - May 1

Below are the Hometown Ticketing Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of April 25 - May 1. Voting is open until Thursday at 4 pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

Hometown Ticketing Athlete of the Week Nominees: April 25 - May 1

Gretta Grassel, Boscobel softball: Grassel has been sensational as a sophomore for the Bulldogs and continued her tear this year as Boscobel went 4-0 on the week. First in an 11-1 win over Southwestern, Grassel struck out 18 and allowed two hits over seven innings. She went three for three with a home run, two RBIs and three runs scored from the plate. Grassel then struck out 17 more in a 6-5 complete game win over Fennimore while going three for four with three RBIS and two runs scored. In a 9-8 win over River Ridge, she went three for four from the plate with an RBI and two runs scored. Grassel finished the week pitching a complete game 2-0 shutout of Iowa-Grant where she struck out 19 batters and went two for three from the plate with a run scored.

Molly Kable, New London softball: New London picked up three wins last week and Kable was red hot from the plate. In a 16-0 win over Seymour, the senior slugger went three for three with five RBIs, three runs scored and two stolen bases. She then went two for four with a solo home run and two runs scored in a 7-5 win over Menasha. Kable, a Rock Valley College commit, ended her week going two for two with two RBIs, three runs scored and two walks in a 13-3 win over Coleman.

Jaden LeRoy, Evansville girls soccer: LeRoy was all over the soccer field as Evansville outscored its opponents 23-0 over three victories. In a 6-0 shutout of Cambridge/Deerfield the sophomore forward netted a hat trick and added an assist. She followed that up with two more goals in a 7-0 win over Jefferson. LeRoy finished her week with three assists in a 10-0 win over Janesville Parker.

Brayden Olson, Saint Croix Falls baseball: Olson was a hard out from the plate as Saint Croix Falls swept its three games this past week. First in a 12-0 win over Ladysmith, Olson went two for four with a double and a home run. He drove in two runs, scored three runs and stole a base. The junior then took the mound in a 6-0 victory over Cameron, pitching a complete game no-hitter with 14 strike outs and walking just one batter. He also went two for three from the plate with two RBIs, two runs scored and a stolen base. Olson finished going two for three with an RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases in a 10-0 shutout of Somerset.

Mason Schmidtke, Sheboygan North boys golf: Schmidtke had a great week with two wins and a second place finish in three events. Wednesday at the Brookfield Central Invite at Wanake Golf Club, Schmidtke shot a 71, two strokes behind Sussex Hamilton's Michael Addie for the top spot. The junior golfer then shot a 33 at the FRCC Conference Mini-Meet at Thornberry Creek at Oneida Golf Club, winning by five strokes. Schmidtke then competed at the MACC Fund Invitational at Erin Hills. He shot a 76, which tied him for the best score over the weekend.
