Below are the Hometown Ticketing Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of May 9-15. Voting is open until Thursday at 4 pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

Hometown Ticketing Athlete of the Week Nominees: May 9-15

Simon Alexander, Denmark boys track and field: Alexander took home a trio of individual wins at the Northeastern Conference Tournament this past weekend. The junior sprinter won the 100 meter dash in 11.09 seconds. He followed that up with a win in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.43 seconds. Alexander finished the meet day by winning the 400 meter race in 51.81 seconds accounting for a large portion of Denmark's team total points.

Anya Brenkman, Sugar River girls soccer: Sugar River won a trio of matches this past week, including a pair of wins in its home tournament on Saturday. Brenkman scored in all three matches, beginning by scoring two goals in the 5-0 win over Lakeside Lutheran. She then accounted for both goals in the 2-0 win over Dodgeville/Mineral Point by netting her own goal and assisting on another. The forward finished the week off by scoring two goals and adding an assist in a 4-0 win over Delavan-Darien at the home invite.

Bennett Fried, La Crosse Central boys track and field: Fried excelled this past weekend at the Mississippi Valley Conference Championship meet. The junior won a trio of individual events for the Riverhawks including the 200 meter dash, which he won in 22.76 seconds. He also won the triple jump at 45 feet. Fried took home the title in the long jump as well with a distance of 23 feet, 5.5 inches. That broke a conference record that had stood since 2005.

Calley Olson, Bloomer softball: Olson was nothing short of spectacular this past week on the mound and at the plate for the Bloomer softball team. She began picking up both wins in a double header against McDonell Catholic. In the 9-0 game one win, she struck out 18 and allowed just one hit over seven innings. In the 6-1 game two win, she struck out another 15 batters and allowed just one run on four hits through seven innings. She went three for five with two home runs and five RBIs in the two games. In a three inning, 23-1 win over Regis, Olson struck out eight batters and allowed one hit over three innings, as well as going four of five from the plate with four RBIs. Olson continued her week with a six inning perfect game in a 10-0 win over Weyauwegae-Fremont in game one of a double header. She struck out 15 batters. She then won game two of the double header, striking out 11 batters and allowing one hit in an 11-0 victory.

Chayce Osterhaus, Markesan baseball: Osterhaus was a tough out at the plate as Markesan picked up a trio of wins. First in a 26-8 win over Montello, he went three for three including a home run, six RBIs, four runs scored and three walks. He then went one for one with an RBI, two walks, three runs scored and two stolen bases in a 15-0 win over Montello. Osterhaus finished his week by taking the mound in a 10-0 win over Pardeeville. He pitched a complete five-inning game, allowing one hit and striking out seven batters. He went two for two from the plate with an RBI, a walk and two runs scored.
