Arrowhead Boys Championship Track Team

Large School Division

Arrowhead's consistency through each sport season led the Warhawks to the twelfth WSN Cup Large School Division title in the fourteen years of its existence.

The Warhawks scored a robust 823 points, which was the highest of any division and was 80 points more than the second place Middleton in the large division.

Arrowhead scored 225 points in the spring season which was the most in the large school division which was a measly .3 points more than Middleton. A state title in boys track accounted for most of the points, but the Warhawks did score at least ten points in the other six spring sports.

The Warhawks boys track team was the lone state champion for Arrowhead, however they accumulated points in every sport over the school year except for girls volleyball. Arrowhead finished runner-up in both girls and boys swim and dive and competed in the boys volleyball, boys wrestling and the baseball state tournaments and finished top seven at state in gymnastics and boys and girls cross country.

"We are extremely proud of our students and staff.  Our hope is always to create great student-athletes with strong character and believe that leads to success in competition.  This award from WSN is an incredible recognition of the efforts from our athletes and coaches, and from an entire community supporting Arrowhead athletics."  -- Arrowhead Principal, Adam Kurth

Congratulations to the Arrowhead Warhawks!

Middleton finished second in the large school division with 743.24 points. Homestead (529.33 points), Brookfield East (507.09 points) and Kettle Moraine (488 points) rounded out the top five in the standings.

Medium School Division

Shorewood won four state championships this school year, leading the Greyhounds to a second consecutive title in the WSN Medium School Division.

The Greyhounds narrowly held off Notre Dame, finishing with 657.86 total points, only 28 more than the Tritons.

Despite only scoring 57.86 points in the winter season and falling twelve points behind Notre Dame, Shorewood used state titles in both girls and boys state track to pull back ahead for good in the spring season.

The two spring state titles as well as gold in both boys cross country and boys soccer accounted for 400 of Shorewood's total points. The Greyhounds finished runner-up in girls cross country and fourth in both, girls and boys swim and dive.

"We are excited to be selected as the recipient of the WSN Cup! It is a great honor! This award recognizes the hard work of our student-athletes and coaches. What a great way to end a fantastic year!" -- Shorewood Athletic Director Taz Landry

Edgewood Boys Golf State Championship

Small School Division

Edgewood moved down to the small school division in the 2018-19 season and has won the WSN Cup in all three seasons since dropping down. The Crusaders have also won six WSN Cups in the medium school division.

The Crusaders blew out second place Aquinas in the final standings thanks in large part to a strong showing throughout all three of the sport seasons.

Edgewood outscored the second place team in the small division during the spring season by over 50 points. The Crusaders finished atop the standings of the small schools division in each of the three sports seasons.

State titles in boys golf and boys and girls swim and dive led the way in scoring for Edgewood. The boys hockey team and girls gymnastics co-op finished runner-up at state.

"Edgewood H.S. continues to strive for excellence on and off the playing surfaces, in the classrooms and in the community every year. We are blessed to have excellent Coaches, athletes, administrative staff, faculty, alumni and parent support.  Winning the WSN Cup again is truly an honor for us. It represents a lot of hours of hard work by many.  On behalf of Edgewood High School, our Faculty and staff and our whole community, Thank you!!" -- Former Edgewood Athletic Director, Christopher Zwettler

Congratulations to the Edgewood Crusaders.

Aquinas came in second in the small schools division with 506.17 points. Lake Country Lutheran (393.5 points), Regis (357.85 points) and Mineral Point (315 points) rounded out the top five in the standings.

Divisions - Starting in 2008-09 schools will be placed in three divisions. The Large School Division is for schools with enrollment over 1000. Medium Schools are classified as 500 to 1000 and Small School division is below 500. In 2007-08 schools with enrollments of 900 or more were in the large school division while schools with enrollments up to 900 were in the small schools division.

Points - Points are awarded for finishes in the state tournament of every team sport. Generally, the top 32 teams in each sport are awarded points. If less than 32 teams participate in a non-bracket sport state meet then those are the only schools that are awarded points. For Co-op teams the total points are divided equally amongst all schools in the co-op.
