Below are the Hometown Ticketing Athlete of the Week Nominees for this week. Voting is open until Thursday at 4 pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

Hometown Ticketing Athlete of the Week Nominees: August 22-28

Dane Nickolai, Sheboygan Falls

Sheboygan Falls eked out a 39-34 win over Kiel this past Friday, and Nickolai had a season making game. The senior quarterback threw for 433 yards on 15 of 26 completions for five touchdowns and one interception. His quarterback rating was 125.8 on the night, proving his dominance. Nickolai added 35 yards on the ground and a rushing touchdown. His 13 yard rushing touchdown came with 2:18 left in the game, giving the Falcons the go-ahead and game-winning score.

Andrew Sutton, Aquinas

Aquinas collected four wins over the first week of the season, and Sutton near unstoppable on the pitch. In the season opening, 4-3 win over Richland Center, the senior forward netted two goals and assisted on the other two. He followed that up with five goals and one assist in a 9-1 win over Black River Falls/Melrose-Mindoro. Sutton finished the week off by propelling Aquinas to two wins on Saturday over Newman Catholic and Wausau East. He scored four goals and added an assist in an 8-0 win over Newman Catholic. Sutton netted another four goals in a 4-2 win over Wausau East.

Zach Temple, Madison West

Temple finished first in his first event of his junior year and helped Madison West to first place team finish this past weekend. Competing at the Glen Herold Invitational at Watertown, the junior runner completed the race in 16:46.90. Temple's time was nearly six seconds better than the second place finisher on the day. Madison West won the boys side of the meet thanks to Temple's first place finish.

Kaitlyn Vander Werff, Central Wisconsin Christian

Central Wisconsin Christian competed in its own tournament this past Saturday and Vander Werff was integral to the team's success. Over the six matches for the Crusaders, the senior setter accumulated 101 assists, 21 digs and 13 kills. CWC went a perfect 6-0 on the day, dropping just two sets behind the leadership of Vander Werff.

Greta Wise, Green Bay NEW Lutheran

Wise was a force to be reckoned with on the court as Green Bay NEW Lutheran was dominant at the Green Bay East Red Devil Invite. The senior hitter had 54 kills, 28 digs and nine aces for the Blazers throughout the day. Wise's dominance above the net helped NEW Lutheran sweep all five matches without dropping a single set.
