Prep Props - Week 3

Prep Props is our weekly look at the best individual statistical performances in the state, with the leaders in rushing yards, passing yards, and receiving yards. Prep Props is published every Monday morning, and for players to be included, coaches must enter game stats by 8 am on Monday.

Coaches, if you do not have access or need assistance entering stats info, please contact us ASAP. Players, parents, and fans, if you do not see your favorite player's stats here, please encourage your team's coach to enter stats info on WSN by the weekly deadline.

Week 3 Rushing Leaders

La Crosse Logan scored a much-needed opening Mississippi Valley Conference victory by defeating Sparta 43-29 on Friday night. It was a big rushing performance for the Rangers, who went for 457 yards on the ground. Eli Reynolds did most of the damage, carrying the ball 28 times for 269 yards and three touchdowns.

Week 3 Passing Leaders

Howards Grove put together a furious fourth quarter comeback on Friday night but fell short as Cedar Grove-Belgium scored a 42-35 victory. Howards Grove quarterback Trent Grunewald did all he could, completing 28-of-49 passes for 435 yards and five touchdowns. Two of those scores were in the fourth quarter as the Tigers tried like crazy to get back in the game.

Week 3 Receiving Leaders

Watertown had a back-and-forth affair with Sun Prairie West on Friday night, though the Goslings ultimately came up just short, falling 32-26 in overtime. The passing game kept Watertown in the game, and junior Zach Scher had a big day, catching seven passes for 213 yards with two touchdowns.
