Week 3 WisSports.net Football Coaches Poll

Week 2 WisSports.net Football Coaches Poll
Week 1 WisSports.net Football Coaches Poll

Please note, divisional placement in our poll is based on our Enrollment Projections done earlier this year. Divisional placement in the WIAA playoffs is not determined until after the season and these projections can and will be different than the divisions at the end of the year.

Division 1

There were no losses among ranked teams in the Division 1 WisSports.net Coaches Poll, and no changes in the Division 1 WisSports.net Coaches Poll. That means Mukwonago stays on top, though Kimberly, Muskego, and Bay Port all got at least one first place vote.

Division 2

The big story in Division 2 was last week's showdown between top-ranked Waunakee and second-ranked Sun Prairie East. Waunakee came out on top, solidifying its number one position. Sun Prairie East was sent to its second loss, though the Cardinals fall just a couple spots to fourth this week. Wauwatosa West and Homestead each lost, falling out of the rankings. Westosha Central and Sun Prairie East come in to the poll, perhaps for the first time ever for both teams, but certainly for first-year program Sun Prairie West.

Division 3

Another division with a great amount of stability this week, with no losses among ranked teams and just some minor shuffling towards the bottom of the top ten. Monroe remains in the number one position, with Rice Lake and Luxemburg-Casco each receiving a first place vote.

Division 4

There were some big matchups in Division 4 last week, meaning there was bound to be some changes in this week's poll. Lake Mills feel to fourth-ranked Edgewood, and the L-Cats slide from fifth to eighth this week. Former number six Lakeside Lutheran went down to Lodi, as the Warriors drop out of the rankings and Lodi moves in at number nine.

Division 5

There was no change towards the top of the WisSports.net Division 5 Coaches Poll, where Aquinas is first and Mayville second. The top eight remain intact, though Lancaster and Clintonville suffered losses at the bottom of the rankings and fell out. Winnebago Lutheran and Tomahawk move in to the poll this week.

Division 6

Like several other divisions, the D6 teams in last week's rankings were perfect, thus little change befalls the top ten this week. However, one big jump of note sees Belleville go from eighth last week to fourth this week, as the Wildcats defeated a solid Potosi/Cassville squad. Saint Mary's Springs remains the top-ranked team.

Division 7

Regis and Edgar continue a dance at the top of the rankings, though once again Regis edges out the Wildcats by the thinest of margins. Black Hawk/Warren (IL) drops from third to sixth after going down to Darlington last week, allowing Cashton to move up one spot. Defending champion Reedsville leaps a couple spots to fourth. Potosi/Cassville and Catholic Central drop out after losses, allowing River Ridge and Cambria-Friesland to make their debuts in the poll.

8-Player

There weren't much in the way of big games in 8-player last week, with no ranked teams suffering defeats in what is Week 2 for those teams. Newman Catholic remains a heavy favorite at the top, though Wabeno/Laona did switch spots with Luck for the fourth position.
