Week 4 WisSports.net Team of the Week Nominees

Amherst Falcons

Taking on unbeaten Wittenberg-Birnamwood, the team that eliminated the Falcons from the playoffs last year, Amherst trailed 28-21 heading into the fourth quarter. However, the team rallied with ten points in the fourth to score a 31-28 victory. Senior quarterback Matthew Glodowski accounted for all four of the team's touchdowns, throwing for 120 yards and two scores on 10-of-12 passing to go with 15 carries for 121 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. After an 0-2 start, the Falcons have won their first two CWC-Large games to open the conference schedule.

Crandon Cardinals

The Week 4 Kwik Trip & Wisconsin Dairy Game of the Week turned into a blowout, as Crandon's ground game and stingy defense were too much for Tomahawk in a key Northwoods Conference game. The Cardinals rolled up 415 yards and five touchdowns on 52 carries en route to a 38-0 victory. Mason Mullins led a balanced rushing attack with 130 yards and two long touchdowns on 13 carries, as 11 different players carried the ball for Crandon. The Cardinals defense limited Tomahawk to just 123 yards of offense in the shutout win.

Eau Claire North Huskies

Eau Claire North ended a 46-game conference losing streak that had dated to September of 2014, downing Superior 21-0 on Friday night at Carson Park. Senior Jack Kein had a nice day, completing five-of-eight passes for 40 passes and leading the team with 172 yards rushing and a touchdown on 20 carries. The Huskies' defense allowed 206 yards of offense but kept Superior out of the end zone.

Horicon/Hustisford MarshFalcons

Horicon/Hustisford trailed Palmyra-Eagle 7-0 at halftime but tied the game in the third quarter and won it in overtime, 10-7, as Klayton Bischoff booted a 28-yard field goal for the game-winner. It ended a 12-game losing streak for the MarshFalcons, who overcame some offensive struggles to get the job done. Running back Isaac Howard did rush for 109 yards on 28 hard-won carries in the victory.

Northwestern Tigers

Northwestern hosted Saint Croix Falls in a showdown of unbeaten Heart O'North Conference teams Friday night, and it certainly lived up to the billing. Neither team led by more than one score, and it was tied late into the fourth quarter. That's when Tanner Kaufman capped off the game-winning drive with a seven-yard touchdown with 1:24 left to secure a 36-28 victory. Four backs, including Kaufman, combined for 262 rushing yards and four touchdowns, while quarterback Luke Sedin padded his 84 rushing yards and two scores with 102 passing yards and one touchdown through the air.
