We asked, you voted, and New Berlin West at New Berlin Eisenhower has been selected as the Kwik Trip and Wisconsin Dairy Game of the Week for Week 4 of the high school football season. A total of 9,075 votes were cast, as this one received 3,957 of those votes.

The Kwik Trip & Wisconsin Dairy Game of the Week allows you, the fans, to pick what you feel is the biggest high school football game in the state each week. Not only will that game get featured on WisSports.net, but WSN General Manager Travis Wilson will make it his destination that week, with updates, photos, videos, and stories from the big game.

And of course, no trip to a big game in Wisconsin would be complete without a stop or two at Kwik Trip and a chocolate milk!!

The Parkland Conference is looking very strong once again, and while this might not have the cachet of last weeks' state champion versus state champion showdown between Pewaukee and Catholic Memorial, it is an excellent ballgame between the New Berlin schools who are a bit of a surprise 8-0 combined.

They've taken turns winning close games over Wauwatosa West the last two weeks. Both have Catholic Memorial and Pewaukee remaining on the schedule, with West facing those two teams the next two weeks, while Eisenhower gets them the last two weeks of the season.

This is a significant rivalry in the Milwaukee area, and it's hard to escape the fact this is more than just another game on the schedule.

"Around school and at practice, there is a vibe that this is a big game," said Eisenhower head coach Matt Kern. "The game against New Berlin West would be a big one regardless of records, but the fact that both teams are undefeated certainly adds some excitement. It would be cliche to say that our team is taking things one game at a time and frankly, with respect to this week, that is not quite true - this is one that is always highlighted every year and even more so this year. Our kids know that this will be a major test on Friday and I think their mindset has been to match the moment with their best preparation."

New Berlin West has been trying to keep things internal as much as possible.

"Really focusing on ourselves as much as possible," said head coach Ben Chossek. "We have a lot of respect for Eisenhower, Coach Kern, and their program. At the same time, our attention is on improving our performance to play our best game on Friday. "

After a bit of a rough 2021 season, Eisenhower is off to a hot start in 2022.

"Obviously we're pleased to be sitting at 4-0 heading into this game after surviving a couple of very tough games against Wisconsin Lutheran and Wauwatosa West," said Kern. "Last year we started 0-4 and a big point was made this off-season in starting faster and getting our footing faster so I am happy we have been able to do that."

It should be a great environment on Friday in New Berlin.

"We have a great opportunity to showcase the School District of New Berlin and the kids, families, community, and schools we have here," Chossek added.
