We asked, you voted, and Little Chute at Fox Valley Lutheran has been selected as the Kwik Trip and Wisconsin Dairy Game of the Week for Week 6 of the high school football season. A total of 5,188 votes were cast, as this one received 1,904 of those votes.

The Kwik Trip & Wisconsin Dairy Game of the Week allows you, the fans, to pick what you feel is the biggest high school football game in the state each week. Not only will that game get featured on WisSports.net, but WSN General Manager Travis Wilson will make it his destination that week, with updates, photos, videos, and stories from the big game.

And of course, no trip to a big game in Wisconsin would be complete without a stop or two at Kwik Trip and a chocolate milk!!

Last week we talked about how because of the dominance of the North Eastern Conference over the Bay Conference in crossovers, all of the NEC teams were unbeaten in league play entering Week 5. Three of those undefeated teams remain, including Little Chute and Fox Valley Lutheran. Little Chute got by previously unbeaten Luxemburg-Casco last week, while Fox Valley Lutheran downed Denmark.

"Each week has presented a new challenge to the team," said Fox Valley Lutheran head coach Seth Jaeger. "So far, we have been able to rise to the occasion and make the most of the opportunities we have had. Our mind set has been our theme for many weeks now, 'Stay Humble. Work Harder'."

Little Chute's Ted Evers is pleased with how things have gone thus far.

"Our team has definitely shown a lot of growth over the course of the first five games," he said. "Now that we are in North Eastern Conference play, every week is a tremendous challenge. There is not a weak team in our league and you have to play very good football each Friday just to have a shot to win."

"Going into this week, it is a level of competition in Little Chute that we have not seen as of yet," said FVL's Jaeger. "We needed to continue to improve throughout this week in order to compete against a very good Little Chute team. Our guys are excited about this opportunity and are looking forward to the challenge."

Ever echoes that sentiment.

"We are very excited to play against a very talented and well coached Fox Valley Lutheran team," he said. "The Foxes appear to be very athletic and skilled and they also have some big and physical kids on the offensive and defensive lines that are going to test us. We take pride in playing physical football in all three phases of the game and we hope to match the physicality of Fox Valley Lutheran.

"There is a lot of hype surrounding this game and there should be a lot of people in attendance. I am excited for our kids to be able to play in what should be a great environment at Fox Valley Lutheran High School."

Interestingly enough, this is the first time Little Chute has played at Fox Valley Lutheran since 2016. In 2018, the teams played at Kaukauna High School, while the last three years have been home games for Little Chute.
