The Johnson Creek Bluejays have been selected as the Week 5 WSN Football Team of the Week following a statewide vote on WSN. The team scored an upset over previously undefeated Randolph in a key Trailways conference game. The Bluejays were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 5. A total of 8,787 votes were cast, as Johnson Creek's 2,833 votes edged University School's 2,476 votes.

Johnson Creek knocked off previously unbeaten Randolph in a key Trailways Conference game on Friday. In a back-and-forth affair, Johnson Creek scored on a two-yard Dylan Bredlow keeper with 3:44 left in the game, and Bredlow converted the ensuring two-point run to provide the final 29-28 margin. Bredlow finished with 81 rushing yards and two scores, while Silas Hartz led the team with 21 carries for 148 yards and two touchdowns.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named WSN Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 6 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
