The Oak Creek Knights have been selected as the Week 6 WSN Football Team of the Week following a statewide vote on WSN. The team took down rival Franklin to take control of the Southeast Conference. The Knights were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 6. A total of 5,070 votes were cast, as Oak Creek's 1,764 votes edged Eau Claire North's 1,290 votes.

For the first time since 2014, Oak Creek defeated neighboring rival Franklin, doing so in dominating fashion as part of a 35-7 victory. The Knights went up 14-0 in the first quarter and led 21-0 at halftime, and never looked back. Quarterback Cade Palkowski threw a couple touchdowns, caught one, and ran for 141 yards in the game. Jackson Phelps added 25 carries for 187 yards and two touchdowns as well. The Knights' defense limited Franklin to just 153 total yards.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named WSN Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 7 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
