Jolly Good Week 7 Player of the Week Nominees

Brody Allen, Unity

Unity kept itself in the Lakeland Conference race with a 36-24 win at Hurley on Friday night. Senior quarterback Brody Allen had a big game both rushing and passing. He completed five-of-seven passes for 128 yards with two touchdowns and also led the team with 145 yards and two scores on 19 attempts. He was a key part of the team's defense as well, recording seven tackles.

Colton Brunell, Columbus

Columbus and Lodi met in a huge top ten showdown in Division 4 for control of the Capitol Conference. Columbus led 21-14 early in the fourth quarter, but pulled away for a 42-14 victory, as junior running back Colton Brunell ran for two scores in the fourth. He was a workhorse all day, carrying it 29 times for 335 yards and three touchdowns in the victory, adding a couple short receptions as well.

Dawson Goodman, Chippewa Falls

One of the wildest endings you'll ever see sent Chippewa Falls to a 20-14 upset win over previously unbeaten River Falls on Friday. Tied at 14 at the end of regulation, River Falls turned it over on their first play of overtime. Chippewa Falls would attempt a potential game-winning field goal, but it was blocked. After bouncing around a few times, the ball ended up in the hands of senior Dawson Goodman, who corralled it and ran 17 yards for the dramatic game-winning touchdown. In addition to playing a strong role on defense, Goodman also finished with 96 yards rushing on 11 carries.

Carson Tait, Regis

Regis traveled to Mondovi for the Kwik Trip and Wisconsin Dairy Game of the Week, scoring a dominating 37-14 victory. Senior Carson Tait only touched the ball four times, but accounted for 251 yards and three touchdowns. In the first half alone, he ran for an 83-yard touchdown, went 57 yards for another rushing touchdown, and caught a 92-yard touchdown. He finished with three carries for 168 yards and two scores plus the 92-yard touchdown reception.

Nate White, Milwaukee King

In a matchup of two of the top teams in the Milwaukee City Conference, Milwaukee King broke open a scoreless halftime contest to win 27-0. Senior Wisconsin recruit Nate White ran for three touchdowns, all in the second half, to help the Generals to the win. He carried the ball 22 times for 191 yards as King did all of its damage on the ground.
