Week 7 WisSports.net Team of the Week Nominees

Adams-Friendship Green Devils

In a crossover game against D5, third-ranked Brodhead/Juda, Adams-Friendship proved it is a legit contender and one that should finally vault into the Coaches Poll this week, downing the Cardinals 25-13. Aidan Livingston led a balanced rushing attack with 96 yards, also throwing for 83 yards and a touchdown. The Green Devils remain undefeated with the win, setting up a huge South Central Conference showdown with Wisconsin Dells this week.

Brookfield Central Lancers

The Battle for Brookfield is always a big game, but with both Central and East part of a five-way tie for the Greater Metro Conference lead coming into the week, it took on heightened importance. The teams were tied at seven after one quarter, when Brookfield Central broke things open in a big way, scoring 21 points to pull away for a 38-7 victory. The Central defense limited East to 107 yards in the game, while Michael Franz and Drew Edmond each went for more than 90 yards on the ground.

Fond du Lac Cardinals

Fond du Lac had its share of struggles to start the year, sitting at 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the FVA heading into an important showdown against unbeaten Kimberly. Fond du Lac rose to the challenge in a big way, defeating the Papermakers 31-21. The Cardinals rolled up more than 200 yards passing and rushing, with Stephen Schreiter having a big day throwing the ball while Tanner Dalske and Brayden Eigenbrodt combined for 225 rushing yards.

Kewaskum Indians

Kewaskum wedged its way into a three-way tie atop the East Central Conference standings, rallying from a 20-9 fourth quarter deficit to defeat league-leading Berlin 24-20. Ryan Cook scored the game-winning touchdown on a one-yard plunge with just 34 seconds remaining. Derek May and Nathan Heller each had interceptions to help turn the tide for the Indians.

Muskego Warriors

Muskego and Arrowhead entered their Week 7 contest both ranked in the top six of the Division 1 Coaches Poll on WSN, but trailing unbeaten, top-ranked Mukwonago. Muskego kept its faint conference title hopes alive and likely secured an extra playoff home game at some point with a 23-21 victory over the Warhawks. Sam Steuber had to earn every yard, as the fullback carried the ball 33 times for 116 yards and a touchdown, while Bradyn Horn hit on a few big pass plays as well.
