Hometown Ticketing Athlete of the Week: Arturo Ottum-Cortez, Notre Dame

Notre Dame senior Arturo Ottum-Cortez has been selected as the Hometown Ticketing Athlete of the Week for the week of September 26 - October 2 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 5,952 total votes this week. Ottum-Cortez topped all vote getters with 2,349 votes. Three Lakes/Phelp's Tobias Volkmann came in an extremely close second with 2,258 votes.

Ottum-Cortez has been excellent all season in goal for the Notre Dame boys soccer team. Last week the senior goalkeeper allowed just one goal through four games for the Tritons. He began the week with a pair of shutouts over Ashwaubenon and Manitowoc Lincoln. He had one save in the 8-0 win over Ashwaubenon and two saves in the 4-0 win over Manitowoc Lincoln. He then saved four goals and allowed one in a 1-1 tie with Green Bay Preble. Ottum-Cortez finished the week with six saves in a 0-0 tie with Bay Port. Through 13 games, he has allowed just six goals.
