Wisconsin Dells senior Yair Perez Ruiz has been selected as the Hometown Ticketing Athlete of the Week for the week of October 17-23 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 9,813 total votes this week. Perez Ruiz topped all vote getters with 3,375 votes. New Berlin Eisenhower's Jack Bretzmann came in second with 3,011 votes.

Perez Ruiz was all over the pitch, accounting for half of Wisconsin Dells' goals in its two regional matches last week. In a 10-0 shutout of Prairie du Chien co-op, the senior forward had two goals and two assists. Perez Ruiz then netted a hat trick and added an assist in the 6-1 win over Mount Horeb in the regional finals.

The Chiefs and Perez Ruiz will host Evansville tonight, October 27th in a sectional semi-final matchup.
