The Chilton Tigers have been selected as the Level 1 WSN Football Team of the Week following a statewide vote on WSN. The team went on the road to open the playoffs and scored a tight, low-scoring victory. The Tigers were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Level 1. A total of 12,806 votes were cast, as Chilton's 4,843 votes edged Badger's 4,841 votes.

Chilton won a surprisingly low-scoring affair with Clintonville 7-6 on Friday. The fifth-seeded Tigers held the powerful Clintonville passing attack in check, as Kade Rosenow completed just 10-of-22 passes for 119 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. The Clintonville quarterback had finished the regular season second in the entire state in passing yards and touchdowns. Meanwhile, Chilton's Jared Gehl ran for 129 yards on 21 carries to help the Tigers control the clock.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named WSN Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Level 2 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
